THE OWNERS of plots on the site of the future KIA car plant near Žilina, who have been holding out for a higher price than the Sk140 per square metre originally offered , have probably won the battle, the Pravda daily reported.
No official agreement was reached by the cabinet at its meeting yesterday, but according to unofficial sources, the landowners will be offered Sk350 per square metre for the remaining 52 hectares of the total 220 hectares remaining. The cabinet should finally resolve the matter next week.
