"Kia Motors Slovakia has produced more than 256,000 units of the first-generation cee'd model since 2007, which were exported to 51 countries. Production of the station wagon version makes up more than 22 percent of total production," spokesman Dušan Dvořák told the Pravda daily.

Kia Motors Slovakia is currently preparing to manufacture another new model. During the two-week summer shutdown it upgraded production lines to build a new three-door model, the pro cee'd, and plans to begin mass production next year.
