THE TRUTH cannot be found anywhere in between when it comes to the Ukrainian crisis, Slovak President Andrej Kiska stated after the NATO summit in Newport on September 5. He added that he appreciates boosting NATO’s military presence in eastern Europe.
“It’s clear and there cannot be any doubts that Russian soldiers are fighting in eastern Ukraine at the moment,” Slovak President Andrej Kiska stated after the NATO summit in Newport, as quoted by the TASR newswire.
As he further noted, all the related challenges and threats to security can be faced only when everyone agrees on a joint plan, with each country required to meet its obligations. People in the EU-member countries that border Russia are feeling vulnerable, he added.
“Especially smaller countries need reassurance that the alliance, along with larger countries, would stand by them and would be willing to act,” said Kiska, as quoted by TASR.
The president also said that he appreciates the action plan that was approved at the NATO summit. The plan entails boosting the military presence in eastern Europe and setting up a rapid response force to protect eastern European members against possible Russian aggression.
