Chief inspector Rudolf Kubica said that Korean and Slovak employees were testing out a new mould for making bumpers at the plant’s press shop for plastic parts, the TASR newswire reported. The Korean, for unknown reasons, got close to a multi-ton press after its protective equipment worked loose and was crushed. According to HR manager Ján Denči, the accident is under investigation to determine whether human error was involved, and everyone concerned at the plant is assisting in the inquiry. Mobis had been operating for five years in Slovakia without an accident.
