President Michal Kováč said he might pardon his son to enable him to travel to Munich and defend himself in the fraud case involving the Slovak trade firm, Technopol. The President questioned whether his son would receive a fair trial in Slovakia and noted that "in Munich, laws and evidence apply."
Kováč may grant his son amnesty
