HZDS MP Zdenka Kramplová, who was recently dismissed as agriculture minister, will remain the central secretary of the HZDS, according to an announcement by Stanislav Husár, chairman of the HZDS Republican Arbitration Commission, on August 21.
He added that HZDS vice-chairman Milan Urbáni will also keep his position.
According to MEP and long-time former finance minister Sergej Kozlík (HZDS), a recent party meeting touched on all scheduled topics. The session delved into the cases of the HZDS’s controversial funding and the Kramplová’s dismissal as agriculture minister over a controversial tender worth Sk900 million (€29.87 million).
According to Kramplová, HZDS leader Vladimír Mečiar proposed canceling the tender, which she didn't do, so she was fired. But former agriculture minister Miroslav Jureňa blamed Kramplová for the fact that the tender was carried out without informing the party and its chairman.
Kramplová, along with Urbáni, was criticized for HZDS' financing. TASR
