The main topic of their meeting was possible establishment of an UNFPA Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Bratislava this year.

Obaid is, as well, currently taking part in the regional planning meeting of UNFPA, which is one of the main development funds of the UN system aimed at providing assistance mostly to developing countries.
