Dear Sir,
I found your article "Careless journalism or intent to mislead? Jozef Majský gets burned" (Vol. 5, No. 12) a mixture of reactionary babble peppered with speculative accusations that can only point to your insecurity as a legitimate publication. The whole affair left a bad taste in my mouth and I would hope that in the future you resolve to use more discretion before exuding such vitriolic miasma.
You suggest that Slovenská Republika's 'mistake' was no mistake at all but a cunningly crafted omission intended to further a nefarious agenda on the part of the SR editors. Instead of providing clear evidence you set into a barrage of speculative invectives that parse the wording of the SR article in a way as to show 'suspicion' all the while engaging in ad hominem attacks on deputy editor Semanco.
Later, you so nobly claim that "there is no point in getting involved in a mud-slinging match" but the next sentence you do exactly that by throwing the first fecal remark which accuses SR of flouting "journalistic rules".
Further, your refusal to give SR the benefit of the doubt, by sending a letter pointing out this 'mistake' to the editor, can only suggest that you harbor a prejudicial view of your fellow periodical.
Indeed, the purpose of your retort seemed puzzling to me until I reached the end of the article where you reveal that your motives are "in the interest of repairing the wrong done to Majský." Not only does that statement raise serious questions about your journalistic priorities, namely defending one of the richest and most powerful men in Slovakia instead of reporting the facts, it also reinforces the assertions of the SR editors that Mr. Majský indeed does have a cozy relationship with your publication.
