RE: "Arab residents protest for peace in Palestine", By Ed Holt, Vol. 8 No. 14, April 15-21.
ERIC, I don't think you are right in saying there are no Palestinians, for until 1948 there was a Palestine, and thereafter, in a nutshell, the English decided it was Israel. The Palestinians did not cease to exist by a British decision; you can't get rid of a people like that. However, this is hardly a Slovak issue. One should be careful how many foreigners one allows into one's country. It is OK when for instance the Slovaks feel they object to the deeds of people, institutions, or countries, to protest in the streets of their cities, but it is something else when foreigners residing in one's country protest against alleged enemies of their "home country", when the enemy is not their "host-country". All of us look at the Middle East in dismay, but once again, this problem should not become a problem in "our" streets!
