Lexa makes last visit to parliament

IVAN Lexa, a member of parliament for the opposition Movement for Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) party, paid a visit to the legislature to pick up a lap-top computer that all MPs are entitled to after finishing their four-year terms.

Lexa, who missed 91 per cent of parliamentary sessions while evading an international arrest warrant in South Africa, said he would give the computer and a printer to his party headquarters because "there are people there who can use it".

Lexa, former head of the Slovak secret service, faces 10 charges from his 1995-1998 tenure including sabotage, abuse of power and kidnapping.
