Lexa out of hospital, faces new charges

FORMER SECRET service (SIS) boss Ivan Lexa was released from hospital on September 29 after doctors failed to find anything wrong with him. Lexa had entered the Bratislava facility a week before complaining of a heart ailment.

On leaving the hospital, however, Lexa was charged with two further counts of abuse of power from his time at the head of the SIS.

Overall, Lexa now faces 12 charges from his 1995-1998 agency rule, including sabotage and kidnapping.
