ĽUBOMÍR Lintner, the leader of a group that broke away from the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) to remain part of the ruling coalition after ANO left the government, is considering leaving politics.
According to the Hospodárske noviny daily, Lintner is also wavering in his plans to establish his own political party, an idea he floated just recently.
Lintner admitted the possibility that he would not establish a new party after all.
"Our analysis of voter behavior in the [late November] regional elections showed that people are very apathetic towards politics, which was reflected in the [18 percent] voter turnout," he told the daily.
Lintner, a journalist by profession, said that after the current election term, he will go back to the media.
But Culture Minister František Tóth, who is also a member of the Lintner group, remains interested in establishing a new party. He said he was "determined to go for it and be personally engaged in it".
