THE HEAD of NOVA party Daniel Lipšic plans to file a criminal complaint against the current partners and a number of individuals affiliated with the Penta financial group over stalking, libel and intimidation related to alleged discrediting campaign against his party, the TASR newswire reported on November 13.
Lipšic has opted to do so based on information rendered by chairman of Democratic Civic Party (DOS) Anton Železník on Novebmber 13, who claimed that he knows people engaged in an orchestrated smear campaign against NOVA party via the purchasing of intelligence information and illegal acquiring of personal information that has subsequently been released on the internet, according to the Sme daily.
“According to my findings, the individuals involved are Jaroslav Haščák, Marián Krajňák, Alojz Lorenc and Peter Tóth,” said Železník, as quoted by TASR.
Železník claimed that he has become the target of intimidation and, therefore, decided to give testimony in the case.
At the press conference, Lipšic claimed that he believes the information presented also because Železník successfully passed a polygraph test in the Czech Republic. He said that circumstances surrounding the creation of Železník’s party were quite suspicious and now all details fall into place, according to TASR.
“What happened since 2012 has crossed all lines and, therefore, I’ll file a criminal complaint in the days ahead against Haščák, Krajňák and Lorenc,” Lipšic said, as quoted by TASR. “I believe that also this story shows that if someone stands in the way of the financial group, which operates partly like State Security (communist police), they might expect blows to fall.”
Penta spokesman Martin Danko denied any such involvement from the financial group.
“We are not leading any campaign against NOVA party,” Danko said, as quoted by Sme, “we have not co-operated with Mr Železník.”
