Man who threatened people in Bratislava with a knife will not be prosecuted

The violent incident on Obchodná Street took place on May 31 this year.

The man who stabbed a worker at the Finance Ministry on May 31 and went on to threaten people on Obchodná Street on the same day will not face any charges, as reported by the Denník N daily.

The police, who fired shots at attacker Martin H. but hit a young passer-by instead, proposed to stop prosecution of the 34-year-old attacker.

He was mentally ill when he committed the criminal act, the police justified its decision. A prosecutor complied with the proposal on June 21.

Three days after the decision to stop Martin H.'s prosecution became valid, the proposal for his psychiatric treatment came in.
