A court has ruled that eight luxury flats sold by the FNM privatisation agency at below-market prices in 1996 to members of the former Vladimír Mečiar government must be returned to the state.
The decisions, which cannot be appealed, affect former officials such as former Justice Minister Ján Liščák, former Defence Minister Ján Sitek, and former police corps head Jozef Holdoš.
The officials have said they respect the decision, but feel they bought the flats in good faith and have now been injured by the court.
