Mikloš pointed to UNITAS project managing director and former state secretary Branislav Ďurajka, the recently sacked head of the Financial Administration Igor Krnáč, and former head of the Competence Centre Miroslav Mikulčík as those largely responsible for the failure. "That doesn't mean that I want to rid myself of the responsibility for the state in which the Financial Administration is in," said Mikloš, adding that he, along with newly appointed FS head Maria Machová and state secretary Vladimír Tvaroška, are working intensively to rectify the situation.

He apologised to the public, entrepreneurs and especially to FS employees. According to him, an audit recently launched into why the implementation of a new IT system at the FS had failed should take a couple of weeks.
