In a weekend TV interview, Finance Minister Ivan Mikloš said that changes proposed by unions to the 2003 state budget draft would add almost Sk44 billion to next year’s deficit, 80 per cent higher than the proposed shortfall, and that the cabinet will not yield to labour protests at fiscal cuts.
