Deputy PM for Economy Ivan Mikloš is to be named Transport Minister today by President Rudolf Schuster at the request of PM Mikuláš Dzurinda. Mikloš replaces ousted minister Jozef Macejko after a serious tender scandal at the ministry.
Mikloš has not yet said whether he will scrap the controversial tender for 35 new light trains for the state railways firm.
