Mišenka was extradited from Venezuela after violating its laws on stays by foreigners. Slovak police identified him earlier this year; he was detained on January 2 during a walk on a beach on Margarita Island. Mišenka will now be brought before a judge who will decide on his custody.

He faces charges in connection with a blast at a Topoľčany company and is accused of involvement in four murders, including that of one of the bosses of the Sýkorovci crime gang, Peter Čongrády. Originally, he was also accused of complicity in the murder of his brother, Jozef Mišenka, but was last week acquitted of that crime by the Supreme Court.
