More firms to Kechnec

NEW INVESTORS should create 500 new jobs when they set up shop in eastern Slovakia's industrial park in Kechnec.

Currently, 800 people are employed in Kechnec in the plant of the US concern Molex that produces connectors and the Belgian laser-devices firm Gilbos.

The state news agency TASR wrote that the new businesses would invest a total of Sk760 million (€18.68 million). The firms include the Austrian machinery firm Kuenz and the Belgian company Van Geel, which plans to build a plant for the production of moulding for electrical cables.
