Engineering firm Tatravagonka Poprad has announced for May another 190 layoffs from its workforce of 2,350 people after 150 job cuts last December. The firm blames a recession in the sector and strong competition for the reductions. Tatravagonka Poprad is the main employer in the Poprad region of northern Slovakia.
