Most-Híd chairman Béla Bugár told the TASR newswire on Monday, July 5 that he will nominate Laszlo Solymos as his party’s parliamentary caucus chairman.
However, it will be up to caucus members to ratify Solymos as their party whip.
“I'm going to nominate him, of course ... but there may be other candidates too,” Bugár said after his party's executive session in Šamorin. Also on caucus matters, Bugár said Most-Híd MPs are going to be using the same meeting room as lawmakers of the Hungarian Coalition Party (SMK), a party he left more than a year ago.
“It's just a coincidence. Meeting rooms in Parliament are distributed based on how many MPs you have. If there were more of us, we’d be sitting in a larger room. The room means nothing. What matters to me is what kind of people meet there,” Bugár said.
