People in Bratislava region are most likely to be able to find a job, as they can choose from the largest number of vacancies, with Košice Region at the other end of the scale, the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Office (ÚPSVaR) announced on Wednesday, August 25.
A total of 1,642 jobs were available in and around Bratislava in July, with Nitra Region second (1,211) and Žilina Region third (1,109), the TASR newswire wrote. Next came Trnava, Trenčín and Prešov Regions, which all had between 700 and 800 vacancies. Banská Bystrica Region, which has a long record of high unemployment, had only 633 vacant positions last month, but Košice Region brought up the rear by a large margin with a mere 349 jobs on offer.
