Most Slovaks do not believe that the government will cut the excise tax on motor fuels, and thus contribute to a drop in petrol prices, according to a new poll.
The public opinion poll was conducted by the Polis Slovakia agency in cooperation with the SITA news agency on a sample of 1,012 respondents, from July 25 to 26.
Almost 58 percent said the government will not cut this tax. Less than 15 percent of respondents think the government will reduce the excise tax on fuels.
Nearly 28 percent of respondents failed to answer the question.
