Palko explained that until the Constitutional Court decides that MP immunity does not cover driving offences, the ministry would accept this rule and the police would refrain from issuing fines to MPs.

Justice Minister Daniel Lipšic criticized the deputy exemption from driving offence fines. Lipšic, who has been advocating limiting deputy immunity, plans to draft an amendment that would restrict deputy immunity to only cover statements made in parliament.
