Mysterious investor heading to Spiššský Hrhov

AN UNKNOWN group of industrialists represented by the US financial group Simonstein & Henriks Finance Corporation is to invest Sk16.5 billion (€438 million) in a new factory in the eastern Slovak village of Spišský Hrhov to produce car parts.

The investment was confirmed by Gerard Leroux from the Akerman Advisory Association, which represents the investor, Hospodárske noviny wrote. Leroux would not reveal the names of the actual investors, however.

PM Mikuláš Dzurinda said that the government would support the investment with Sk794 million in incentives and another Sk1.2 billion in regional aid. The new plant should start producing within two years and will employ over 1,000 people.
