THE RETAIL chain NAY Holding, which sells consumer electronics and household appliances, posted a 19.1 percent year-on-year growth in the first half of 2004, with a turnover reaching Sk1.1 billion (€28 million), the private news agency SITA wrote. Retail turnover was Sk952.1 million (€24 million).
This year NAY plans to open new outlets in the eastern Slovak towns of Michalovce and Prešov, and is considering opening shops abroad in the future. The company has already registered its trademark and logo in Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Poland.
The NAY group employed 574 people at the end of June.
