NBS finds no proof of information leak about central parity change

An investigation by the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) failed to yield any proof of misuse of confidential information regarding the change in the Slovak crown's central parity level against the euro on May 28, 2008, according to an NBS report requested by Slovak parliament.

The report was commissioned on June 17, 2008 to investigate the suspicion of an information leak and illegal enrichment based on this information. The report analyzes the foreign exchange environment in the period of the central parity change, with a special focus on the actual date the change was announced (May 28, 2008). TASR
