THE PARENTS of eight-year-old Koloman, whose legs had to be amputated because of frostbite ensuing from domestic neglect, were sentenced to 7.5 years in jail on January 13 by a district court in south Slovakia's Veľký Krtíš.
Of the five children born to Kristína and Miroslav B., Koloman is now being cared for by his aunt; another three are in the care of a grandmother and a one-year-old is housed in a state orphanage.
