GERMAN company Neumann Services is investing Sk7 billion (€184.2 million) into a centre for the treatment of spinal problems in an industrial park in Ivánka pri Nitre in Western Slovakia, the Pravda daily wrote.
The new investment will create over 1,200 new jobs. An agreement confirming Neumann's investment plan, was signed on December 9.
The construction of the so-called European Integrated Spinal Centre should be completed within three-and-a-half years. It will be the only one of its kind in Europe, according to Peter Guzmický, the mayor of Ivánka pri Nitre.
He expects that as many as 90 percent of the centre's clients will be foreigners.
