After the failure of airlines Seagle Air, SkyEurope and Air Slovakia, four new companies have filed applications for operating licences, Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson Petra Pastyriková has told the Sme daily.
She refused to specify the names of the applicants, but Sme reported that the four are: AirExplore, a company that intends to focus on charter flights; the Czech company Travel Service, which also plans to fly holidaymakers during the summer season; Central Charter Airlines Slovakia, a subsidiary of a Czech transport firm; and a Poprad-based company, Tatra Jet, that will specialise in VIP flights and air-taxi services.
