Over three hills and hundreds of vineyards – that’s the name of a new cycling path that was opened in the village of Sebechleby in the district of Krupina. The 29-kilometre path connects nine sites in five villages, from Drážovce to Ladzany, Sebechleby, Hontianske Nemce through to Kráľovce – Krnišov, the TASR newswire reported.
The history of these villages is connected with viticulture, original folk architecture and unique folklore.
This first green path in the Hont region should also serve as an inspiration for the development of agro tourism in the region, Martin Schvarc from the Sebechleby Civic Association, which initiated the creation of the path, told TASR.
The construction of the path lasted since autumn 2008 and cost some €15,000, half of which was covered by the Ekopolis Foundation and the rest by private and public partners. TASR
