The company SolarLand Holding SK I put its initial solar power plant in Klúčovec in the Dunajská Streda district into service on March 17. As the company informed, the photovoltaic power plant with installed capacity of 445 kilowatt-peak units (kWp) is the initial investments within the construction project of medium-sized solar power plants in Slovakia worth over several millions of Euros.
"The solar power plant in Klúčovec with installed output of 445 kWp can
supply electric energy to about 150 households with the average annual consumption of 3,500 kilowatt-hours (kWh)," SolarLand Group CEO Peter Obdržálek told the SITA newswire. He added that the facility is considered eco-friendly, since it will produce 300 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, less than a thermal power plant with the same output.
