New Sk400 million tech investment in Nitra

German technological concern Mühlbauer Holding will build a new production and development centre in Slovakia, wrote the SITA newswire on June 27.

The centre will be located at the Nitra-Krškany industrial park in western Slovakia and construction should begin this autumn.

The centre will be operated by Mühlbauer Holding’s 100-percent subsidiary, Mühlbauer Technologies, which currently manufactures various components at a rented premises in Lužianky near Nitra. Components are subsequently assembled in the company’s plants in Germany. After the completion of the Slovak plant, individual machines will also be developed and
produced in Slovakia, wrote SITA.

The German investor will invest about Sk400 million in the production centre and employ about 200 people there. Mühlbauer specialises in highly sophisticated technologies that are used for the production of ATM and identification cards.
