SLOVAK taxpayers are increasingly willing to assign two percent of their income tax to non-governmental and civic organizations (NGOs).
As many as 475,890 taxpayers have chosen to allocate Sk1.351 billion (€44.84 million) from their income taxes to support NGOs this year. This is Sk82 million more than the amount allocated last year, the SITA newswire wrote.
Compared with 2007, the number of private individuals who assigned two percent tax from their incomes increased by approximately 40,000 and the number of corporate entities by over 5,000, news wire SITA wrote.
