Defence Minister Jozef Stank, on his return from a visit to the US with President Rudolf Schuster, said that no military barriers remain to Slovakia’s acceptance to Nato, underlining the importance of Slovakia’s having decided to send a military unit to Afghanistan.
Schuster, in a meeting with George Bush last week, assured the US President that he would do everything possible to assure a high turnout in September 20-21 elections, and that the nation’s political course did not change after the vote.
