POLICE did not record any public order disturbances during the Slovtek techno-party, which took place in the village of Pôtor (Banská Bystrica region) on August 6, Martin Korch, Police Presidium spokesman told the TASR news agency.
Korch referred to the techno-party as an “unreal noise”, with light and smoke effects. A considerable number of special police cars and vans arrived early on August 6 to monitor the situation in case police action was required.
On August 7, police confiscated the driving licences of some people driving under the influence of alcohol. Police found a certain quantity of drugs on August 6 morning, but have not found any further illegal narcotics.
Korch is not expecting any problems to arise. He thinks that the mainly foreign revellers will move on quietly. According to current police information, the techno-party convoy will head next to Bulgaria.
The organizer of the Slovtek techno-party has rented the private grounds where the event was held until August 9.
