AFTER this weekend’s meeting of the leaders of the New Citizen’s Alliance, Chairman Pavol Rusko said that there were no conflicts in the party. "There is no conflict at all; no one is going anywhere," he said.
The vice chairman of the party, Ľubomír Lintner, is also content, wrote the daily SME. "After today's meeting I can say that there is no group around MP [Eva] Černá with the desire to leave," Lintner said, reacting to news suggesting that Černá might leave the party.
Černá was not content with the party's results in the European Parliament elections, where she was the party’s number two candidate. In the past she had voiced unhappiness with Jozef Heriban as the party’s election leader.
The European Parliament election was one of the topics of the weekend’s meeting as well. Černá was allegedly pleased that the party had talked about its election results. Heriban, who was on holiday, did not take part in the meeting. Rusko backed Heriban and refused to blame the party’s bad results exclusively on him.
