No Slovak victims of Indonesian quake

ACCORDING to available information, no Slovaks were among the victims of a massive, 8.7-magnitude earthquake, which hit an island off western Indonesia on March 29, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said.

The ministry's spokesman Juraj Tomaga said, "The ministry has no information that Slovaks were among the victims or the injured. We are keeping in contact with local authorities," according to the TASR news agency.

The epicentre of the Indonesian earthquake was close to that of the December 26 quake, which measured 9.0 on the Richter scale and triggered tsunami waves that left nearly 300,000 people dead or missing across South Asia.
