THE NOVA party will not offer any guidance to its supporters as for which candidate they should vote for the in first round of the presidential election. The countrywide council of the party made this decision on January 18 in Prešov.
The party views several of the centre-right candidates as acceptable, the party leader Daniel Lipšic explained, as reported by the Sme daily.
The party council also voted to change the name of the party from New Majority-Agreement to Nova, which it has used only as acronym until now.
“As for the second round, Nova will support the centre-right candidate who’ll have received the largest number of votes and will be a contender against Robert Fico,” said Lipšic, as quoted by the TASR newswire.
