The number of beneficiaries eligible for unemployment benefits in Slovakia rose in February after going down for five consecutive months, the SITA newswire wrote. The social security provider, Sociálna Poisťovňa, paid unemployment assistance to nearly 48,100 people in the second month of this year, which is an increase of almost 2,800 people from the previous month. In a year-on-year comparison, however, the number of beneficiaries surged by 12,200, the social security provider reported. SITA
