Slovak shooter Daniela Pešková scored a nice victory at her first Olympic Games, where she almost made it to finals in air rifle, and placed ninth in the end.

On August 14, she will compete in her best discipline, rifle three positions. Ivana Švecová, head of the shooting delegation, said that Dana likes this discipline and was more enthusiastic about it than the air rifle. The most experienced and successful Slovak shooter, Jozef Gönci, who decided to skip the air rifle 60, will compete on August 14 in rapid fire pistol.

“It would be too optimistic to speak about medals, but I will do my best and try to come close to the results from four years ago,” said the shooter, 34, from Košice. “The lot is not favourable, but the weather is better than during the previous competitions. Jozef has the least finals experience, but he has proved repeatedly that he can shoot,” Švecová said. SITA
