OMBUDSWOMAN Jana Dubovcová is suggesting that the National Strategy for the Protection and Support of Human Rights should also include a strategic objective for protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of people who are not married and children who live with such people, the TASR newswire reported on June 20.
Dubovcová justifies this by pointing out that as a long-term strategic document, it should reflect the latest amendment to the constitution, which defines marriage as a unique bond between a man and a woman, with the state contributing towards its well being.
