"This looks to me as the most honest and fair with respect to the 17 candidates," Jarjabek said. According to the Slovak National Party’s (SNS) vice-chair, Rafael Rafaj, a secret vote is a better option than a recorded one. "If we want to have the merged television and radio managed by a professional, I see better chances for this in a secret vote," said Rafaj.

The Christian Democratic Movement’s (KDH) Pavol Abrhan expects that coalition MPs will come up with a proposal that the vote should be recorded, saying the parliament’s Media Committee should hold a session within a few days and make a recommendation to parliament.

Tomáš Galbavý from the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ) said that people have a right to see what decisions their representatives in parliament make. He wants to see a person with moral authority and a clean past in the RTVS post and hopes that he or she will be representative of the entire political spectrum. Most-Híd caucus leader László Solymos prefers a recorded vote and expects that the coalition will come to an agreement on this.
