Oracle starts free web portal for EU structural funds spending

THE Slovak version of the DirectEurope portal is available on the Internet to help business people, local authorities and companies prepare applications for spending EU structural funds, news wire TASR has reported.

The portal www.directeurope.sk was launched by the company Oracle in cooperation with OTP Banka Slovensko and the firm Project Solutions, representatives of the companies announced.

Those who are interested may find information helpful for preparing and submitting applications complying with the EU's requirements.

"We want to help Slovak society, business people and institutions so that they get as much information as possible to register their projects," said Oracle Slovensko Director General Jozef Jurkovič.

The visitors to the portal may access it for free, store information on it, and use online and financial tools to create their proposals or manage their documents. Also, they will be able to judge their own applications and evaluate their quality.

The first website of this kind was launched in Hungary in April.
