NEW investments, economic growth and the future of the European Union will be the main issues discussed at the Tatra Summit that will be held in Bratislava from Tuesday to Thursday, the TASR newswire learnt on November 10.
One of central Europe’s largest conferences focused on economy will feature more than 300 participants. The list of speakers includes European Commission Vice-president Maroš Šefčovič, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, as well as Slovak, Czech and Romanian Finance Ministers Peter Kažimír, Andrej Babiš and Ioana Petrescu, respectively.
The business sector will be represented by U.S. Steel president George F. Babcoke, as well as Daniel Křetínský of Energetický a průmyslový holding and Oszkár Világi from Slovnaft.
The event is being organised by the Centre for European Affairs, a member of the Central European Strategy Council, in conjunction with the Slovak Finance Ministry and the Brussels-based think-tank Bruegel. The summit aims to become an economic counterpart of the GLOBSEC conference, which is also organised by the Central European Strategy Council.
