The package includes a draft amendment to the law on parliamentary elections and the law on political parties and movements. In line with the proposals, the amount contributed to parties, movements, and coalitions for each ballot they received in the upcoming parliamentary election, based on the total number of valid votes, will be reduced by one-quarter.

Another item in the flood package is a draft bill on provision of subsidies to compensate for losses caused by extreme weather, natural disasters, and extraordinary events. The draft states that farmers, foresters and fish breeders should be compensated.

The last item is an amendment to the geological law imposing a duty on the Environment
Ministry to secure an engineering-geological survey to examine conditions of stability of a territory which is likely to be affected by landslides. The cabinet estimates spending related to implementation of this law at €500,000 annually.
