Parliamentary committee sanctions three public officials

Former board member of Poľnonákup Tatry a.s., Peter Timko, will have to pay back his six-months’ salary, the SITA newswire wrote on Septemebr 17. A representative of the MH development s.r.o., Ladislav Košecký, was fined one year’s salary for repeatedly violating the law, while Peter Kunkel, chairman of the board of the Technická obnova a ochrana
železníc (Technical Renovation and Protection of Railways), will also lose a year’s salary.

The head of the committee, Viliam Novotný (Slovak Democratic and Christian Union, SDKÚ), told the TASR newswire that they were punished for failing to explain their steps to the committee.
