Parliament approved two contradictory amending proposals to the amendment to the social-insurance law on October 30.
MPs first approved voluntary entry into the private capitalisation pillar of the retirement pension savings scheme, then turned it down in the following vote, the Sme daily wrote on October 31.
That means the second pillar will definitely be opened for the first half of 2008 for those who want to leave it, but it is not clear whether citizens will be able to enter it. Therefore, MPs will probably have to deal with the law again, because it might contradict to the Slovak Constitution.
