Piano Media purchases US Press+

PIANO Media, a company offering an online payment scheme in Slovakia, has bought its biggest rival on the market, US Press+ firm. The acquisition has resulted in the creation of the biggest online payment scheme in the world, operating 630 publishing houses on five continents, the Omediach.com website wrote on September 9.

“The group of investors led by 3TS Capital Partners has acquired through Piano Media the biggest provider of digital subscription services in the world, Press+,” David Brauchli, spokesperson for Piano Media, told Omediach.com.

The acquisition will allow the two companies to extend this payment scheme model across the world, Brauchli added.

The new head of the merged company became Kelly Leach, former head of the European Wall Street Journal and executive director of EMEA for Dow Jones.
